Bolts Bolster Blueline with Trio of Signings July 1 - The Tampa Bay Lightning bolstered their blueline with three signings on the first day of the free agency period, signing unrestricted free agent defensemen Mattias Ohlund and Matt Walker to multi-year deals while also re-signing restricted free agent defenseman Lukas Krajicek to a one-year contract today. With today's signings, the Lightning now have nine defensemen under NHL contract for the 2009-10 season.
Lightning Make Qualifying Offers to Six 2008-09 Admirals June 29 - The Tampa Bay Lightning made qualifying offers to nine restricted free agents today. Six members of the 2008-09 Admirals squad were among those receiving offers: C Blair Jones, D Matt Lashoff, D Mike Lundin, G Karri Ramo, D Matt Smaby and LW Radek Smolenak.
Lightning Wrap Up Successful Entry Draft June 27 - The Admirals' NHL parent club, the Tampa Bay Lightning, selected a total of seven players, including Swedish defenseman Victor Hedman, at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft in Montreal, Quebec.
